Just when you thought makeup industry couldn’t get any bigger or better, many companies have recently begun branching out to try something a little bit different – teaming up with another one of the world’s fastest booming industries – cannabis! That’s right! Several brands have started experimenting with infusing their products with marijuana. For decades, the flowers plant-based properties have been used in medicine and as the main ingredient in many herbal healing remedies. CBD, the non-psychoactive chemical compound found in the plant, is being used more and more by several beauty brands in their products, including mascaras, eye shadows, and moisturizers. Some brands are also promoting marijuana in their marketing, which is something very new on the scene.

I recently spent an afternoon out shopping, and decided to pop into one of my favorite stores, Sephora! I was surprised to find a whole newly displayed section dedicated to CBD infused or weed promoting products. I had no idea this was a thing, but I love experimenting with new products, so I grabbed a store associate and asked for more information! She ran through several new products with me, and then grabbed some testers and led me over to a makeup station where I got to sample the products we discussed before buying! I ended up leaving with more than I planned when I walked in, and I have to say, of all the products I purchased, there are a favorite three of mine which have been by far some of the best makeup products I have ever purchased.

Below are three of the best cannabis infused and weed promoting makeup products you absolutely must try!

Milk Makeup – KUSH Waterproof Mascara $24 – This is hands down one of the best mascaras I have ever purchased. The mascara is not only vegan and cruelty-free, but it’s also Talc-free, Gluten-free, and Paraben-free, making it an excellent option for anyone chemically conscious of what that they are putting on their face. Thickening heart-shaped fibers give long-lasting volume, length, and curl to your lashes. This mascara will make the rest of your eye makeup pop thanks to the hollow, heart-shaped fibers that lock onto your lashes in each direction, adding width and length for beautiful, long-lasting volume. It’s waterproof, intense black formula locks onto your lashes for a smudge-free, transfer-proof finish and its plant-based oil ingredients condition your lashes, keeping a healthy, flake-free look. Along with cannabis oil, Kush Mascara is packed with many other great natural, nourishing ingredients like poppy seed oil, sunflower seed oil, and cupuacu butter. The coolest part of its design is the fact that its made in Italy, and the metal components of the tube are manufactured with Lamborghini metal. This makes the mascara pretty cool even before you open the tube. KUSH mascara will make your eyes pop, giving you those long, thick, full lashes that mimic the beauty of lash extensions, without all the extensive time and upkeep. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great new mascara.

KUSH Growhouse™ Lash + Brow Serum $48 – This daily lash and brow serum boosts and nourishes hair for longer, fuller-looking lashes and eyebrows. It’s plant-based ingredients like Aloe, B5, and quinoa are combined to support healthy hair follicles, plus condition and strengthening hair for healthier-looking lashes and brows. The 94% all-natural formula contains no prostaglandin or any other steroids, so there’s no need to be concerned about irritation to your skin. It’s also ophthalmologist-tested. This MILK product is also Talc-free, Gluten-free, Paraben-free, and silicone-free, but also fragrance-free and one hundred percent vegan. It also doesn’t contain any alcohol, so that it won’t dry you out. My eyebrows have been so soft since using this, and I love how it makes my lashes feel. Even if I’m not wearing mascara, I will apply this serum to bring a soft, natural shine to my browns and lashes, and I love it. It’s lightweight, and I do not even feel like I am wearing anything when I apply it. It takes about four weeks of daily use to start seeing results and is a must-try for anyone looking for a product to help give their brows and lashes a more fuller, longer, healthier look.

Melt Cosmetics – Smoke Sessions Eyeshadow Palette $48 – This fantastic shadow palette offers eight individually cultivated, warm, and cool-tone shades in matte and metallic textures. It was inspired by the brands’ love for cannabis and the anatomy of the plant. With eight great colors all named after different strands of marijuana, this palette is a must-buy for any beauty buff looking for an edgy new eye product to try. With colors like Sour Diesel, Black Widow, and Space Queen, this palette is fun and gives buyers a great variety of new colors you usually don’t see paired together to allow you to get creative. I found out of all the colors in the palette I love the Gravity OG and Blue Dream the most. They are great colors that I can blend effortlessly for a flawless finish on my eyelids. I love the texture of the shadows and how light they feel on my skin. They do not give a cakey look like some shadows and blend beautifully with some of the other products I love using on my eyes for a long-lasting wear. It’s also totally vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free. If you love eye shadows and experimenting with new colors, I highly recommend giving this palette a try.
